PricewaterhouseCoopers response to the 2010 budget broadcast live to over a thousand viewers.

Budget 2010 was set against a backdrop of a looming general election, in the shadow of recession and rising fiscal debt and with a steep uphill climb facing the UK economy.

Alistair Darling delivered his Budget speech on Wednesday 24 March. Barry Murphy, corporate tax partner chaired a live panel discussion with John Hawksworth, Mary Monfries, Peter Cussons and Simon Wilks to discuss issues raised for business.

Datpresenter shortlisted for two prestigious awards – Innovate!100 and Plugg Start-Ups Rally 2010.

It seems a long time ago now that we completed the online entry forms for Innovate!100 and Plugg Start-Ups Rally 2010 awards.

It was certainly worth the time and effort, as Datpresenter are among the 20 start-ups that were selected out of more than 115 submissions from 16 European countries for Plugg and Innovate!100’s analyst team reviewed our application for the Innovate!2010 global competition, and we were selected as one of the finalists that will go on to compete for a spot on the Innovate!100 list of the world's most promising start-ups.

Life on other planets generates significant traffic for The Royal Society’s online TV channel.
Professor Paul Davies’s from Arizona State University delivered an online presentation on the 26th January for The Royal Society’s WebTV channel titled ‘The eerie silence: are we alone in the universe?’ The presentation was a huge success, with over 1500 live viewers. The ET/life on other planets angle caught a lot of peoples’ imagination which generated a huge amount of global interest. At the time of release the presentation had been viewed a further 4000 times.

Thankfully Datpresenter’s WebTV platform and the Royal Society’s infrastructure could handle both the live and on-demand requests ensuring a pleasant experience for all viewers.

Datpresenter engages Silicon Vally Link to bring synchronised WebTV to the USA

Silicon Valley Link has announced its appointment as US Channel Manager for Datpresenters’s range of WebTV software solutions. Silicon Valley Link will be demonstrating Datpresenter at the Streaming Media West show in San Jose starting November 17th, Booth 728, and will be introducing Datpresenter and its solutions across its growing distribution network in the United States.
